How much does delivery cost?

Our delivery charges depend on the order value, delivery location, and the method of delivery. Below is a breakdown of how our delivery costs work.

Free Delivery Thresholds

  • Zone 1: Free delivery on orders over £500 (inc. VAT).
  • Zones 2–4: Free delivery on orders over £1,000 (inc. VAT).
  • If your order qualifies, shipping will show as £0 at checkout, and you’ll only see the delivery date.
  • You can find our delivery zones on our delivery information page.

Standard & Express Delivery (Builder Depot Transport)

For orders below the free delivery threshold, the following charges apply when using our own transport:

  • Standard delivery: £20 (inc. VAT) per order
  • Express delivery: £40 (inc. VAT) per order

Courier Deliveries

  • You may be able to choose from different couriers at checkout.
  • Courier delivery costs vary depending on the items purchased and delivery location.
  • Costs are displayed before you place your order.

Supplier Deliveries

Some items are shipped directly from suppliers.

  • Delivery costs for these items vary by supplier.
  • The shipping cost will be shown clearly at checkout before you confirm your order.

Checking Delivery Costs Before You Order

  • On each product page, you can enter your postcode to see the minimum delivery cost for your location.
  • Once items are in your basket and your delivery details are added, you’ll see:
    • The shipping cost for each shipment
    • The available delivery dates
    • The option to Click & Collect (if available for your item)

Choosing Your Delivery Date

For certain products, you can select a preferred delivery date at checkout. This will be displayed alongside the delivery cost or marked as free if your order qualifies.

Important Information

  • Extra charges may apply if:
    • The courier cannot deliver due to road restrictions
    • No one is available to manually offload goods
    • Delivery fails for other similar reasons
  • Please make sure to inform us of any delivery restrictions in advance to avoid additional charges.
